I shot them over the years with devices ranging from\u00a0a <strong>Kodak DC265<\/strong> (1-megapixel), a <strong>Minolta DiMAGE S404<\/strong> (4-megapixel), an\u00a0<strong>iPad 2<\/strong>\u00a0(5-megapixel), a <strong>Nikon Coolpix L810<\/strong> (16-megapixel) up to a <strong>Canon EOS Rebel T3<\/strong> DSLR (12-megapixel).<\/p>\n<p>BTW, <a href=\"https:\/\/topazlabs.com\/sharpen-ai\/ref\/5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Sharpen AI<\/strong><\/a> is intended to replace Topaz&#8217;s earlier InFocus plug-in, since, as Topaz says, &#8220;<strong>Sharpen AI<\/strong> beats InFocus&#8217;s deconvolution algorithm in almost all images we&#8217;ve tested for both motion and lens blur.&#8221; As a result, Topaz is\u00a0activating <strong>Sharpen AI<\/strong> for all current InFocus owners <strong>for free<\/strong> and deprecating InFocus.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what you will see when launching the new <strong>Sharpen AI<\/strong>: a simple interface with three processing modes (<strong>Sharpen, Stabilize <\/strong>and<strong> Focus<\/strong>) and three sets of sliders (<strong>Input Blur Amount, Input Noise Amount <\/strong>and<strong> Add Grain<\/strong>):<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1313\" src=\"https:\/\/plugsandpixels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/sharpengui-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1754\" height=\"977\" srcset=\"https:\/\/plugsandpixels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/sharpengui-1.jpg 1754w, https:\/\/plugsandpixels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/sharpengui-1-768x428.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1754px) 100vw, 1754px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The split view allows you to preview the before-and-after results once you make the desired adjustments and click the\u00a0<strong>Update Preview\u00a0<\/strong>button. I was on break during jury duty back in 2013 and took photos outside the courthouse. Maybe not, but it&#8217;s really trying, even in its pre-release form! I am excited to see where this technology will go as it develops.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the zoom\/focus-challenged <strong>Nikon Coolpix L810<\/strong>\u00a0up to its tricks again, and a fine college try by <strong>Sharpen AI<\/strong> (in Focus mode) to recover some detail from the mess.
