The current release version of Gigapixel AI<\/strong> is now 5.2.3. Below are some examples I just made using this new update, installed on a 2017 i5 MacBook Air running Apple’s Big Sur pre-release OS (so yes, your computer will do just fine!). My focus today is on improving old historical images and illustrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gigapixel AI<\/strong> also offers a Face Refinement<\/strong> feature. This is a tough thing to pull off convincingly, and the success of the results depends on the quality of the input image. As always, I am using quality-challenged originals and pushing the software technology to the max.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can see in the navigation window the small area (lower left of the colorized group photo) I am enlarging here. I think this man’s relatives would be happy to see this after nearly 100 years!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
